This toolkit contains scissors of a particularly high quality. Both scissors are made of Japanese steel, the material also used for surgical instruments. The advantage? The aquarium scissors do not rust, stay sharp for a long time and are particularly easy to maintain. All you have to do is dab them dry and wipe them down!

What's in this kit?

This kit includes the Wave Scissor and the Nude Scissor, but at -25% off than if you ordered both separately.

What can I use these scissors for?

Both scissors are ideal for pruning foreground plants and carpetting platns, as they are double curved at the front allowing you to trim the bottom very straight. The Wave can be used in small to medium-sized aquariums, the Nude in medium to very large aquariums.

What metal is this made of?

All PlantedBox aquascaping tools are made of surgical steel, also known as Japanese steel. These are exceptionally long-lasting and do not crease when pruning thicker plants like cheaper tools made of Chinese steel.

Is the pouch included?

Yes, both the Wave and the Nude Scissor have a separate pouch.

Do these tools need maintenance?

Very little, it suffices to dry the shears after pruning. After years of use, you can also sharpen the shears if you wish.
