This toolkit is not comparable to the cheap stuff from on eBay. All the scissors and tweezers found in this kit are surgical grade. So you pay a little more, but you get aquascaping tools that will last you a very long time.

In addition, the scissors are razor sharp and the tweezers are very light so you can prune and plant your aquarium plants with great precision. In addition, you won’t be pulling the plants apart all the time and you’ll minimize damage to the leaves.

What's included in this kit?

This toolkit consists of 3 items, namely 1 aquarium scissors, 1 pair of tweezers & 1 “sand flattener”. So you have a nice little kit to start with.

What steel is it made of?

All PlantedBox aquascaping tools are made of surgical steel, also known as Japanese steel. These are exceptionally long-lasting and do not bend when pruning thicker plants like cheaper tools made of Chinese steel.

Is the pouch included

Yep, all PlantedBox tools come in a convenient pouch.

Do these tools also require maintenance?

Very little, it suffices to dry the aquarium scissors after pruning. After years of use, you can also sharpen the scissors if you wish.

How long are the scissors & tweezers

The tools in this kit are approximately 25cm long.
