Does your aquarium really need a CO2 system for fish tank?<\/h2>\n

Sure, you can run a tank without CO2<\/a> and still keep it healthy, but your plant choices will be more limited.<\/p>\n

Want a lush carpet, a beautiful patch of background plants, bold colors? <\/strong>Then yeah, I\u2019d definitely recommend a CO2 system for fish tank<\/strong>. <\/span>Most of those plants need stronger lighting. More light means faster, more compact growth\u2014but it also means more nutrients (including CO2) are needed. <\/span>If your CO2 levels aren\u2019t in sync with that brighter light, you\u2019ll end up with thread algae<\/a> and beard algae. And it\u2019s not just algae\u2014your plants will start showing signs of stress:<\/p>\n
